The Little Treasures Keepsakes range was inspired by my wonderful twin daughters Lily and Lucy. It started with the creation of a simple fingerprint pendant that I always wore and treasured. This led to the further items being made for friends and family as they began to request their own bespoke pieces.
Local craft fairs and word of mouth from happy customers has led to the business going from strength to strength. I am delighted to now offer my jewellery online.
I could not have developed the business without the support and encouragement that my husband, my girls and my parents have given me. Family is so important and I hope that my jewellery range celebrates that special bond.

Making a purchase couldn’t be easier. Have at look at our online store, once you find the item of jewellery you have your heart set on simply add to your shopping cart. You then need to select either the handprint/footprint kit or the fingerprint kit and add to cart. This will enable us to post out the correct impression kit to you. Once your order has been received your kit with easy to follow instructions will be sent to you within 48 hours by first class post and will include a pre-paid envelope for you to send the prints back to us. You will then receive a confirmation email to say that they have been safely received by us. Once we have your print kit your finished jewellery will be ready within 3 weeks. All jewellery is gift packaged and posted to you by recorded delivery or special delivery depending on your requirements.
PLEASE NOTE – babies under 6 months old do not usually have very well defined fingerprints. The handprint/ footprint kit would be more appropriate for that age group.

Is fine silver different to sterling silver?
Yes, it has a silver content of 99.9%. Sterling is 92.5% silver and 7.5% other metals, usually copper. Fine silver can pick up marks and scratches if it’s not cared for properly as it is a softer, purer type of silver.
Do you hallmark the items?
Only items over 7.78 grams need to be legally hallmarked. None of the items that I sell fall into this category but if a customer specifically requests this service then I can inform them of the additional cost.
Are all of the items made by hand?
Yes! It is time consuming but it is a pleasure to see each unique keepsake taking shape. The silver that I use rolls out like clay, when it is almost dry I am able to carve the text into the silver with a fine needle tool. Each letter has to be planned carefully first, then gently carved in to exactly the right depth. The silver product has been developed by the Mitsubishi company, the silver is mixed with a binder which burns away when fired leaving behind the almost pure 99.9% silver. Very clever stuff.
Can I order more items from the same prints if I have ordered from you in the past?
Yes, I will keep all original moulds for 2 years and if you require more items I would be happy to accept your order. You will not need to purchase the handprint or fingerprint kit again and your order will be processed quicker as I will already have your original prints.
How do you reduce down the hands and feet?
This is quite a tricky process which requires specialist equipment. The original print is reduced down in scale and turned it into a 3D rubber stamp ready to press into the silver. A lot of customers ask to see examples when I attend craft fairs and they are usually fascinated by the detail on the tiny stamps.
I’ve ordered the handprint kit, do I need to post the prints back in the prepaid envelope or can I scan them to save time?
Yes as long as the image is scanned and not photographed. The sooner I receive the image the quicker I can get to work on the jewellery so this is a great option if you are in a hurry for your order.
I need my jewellery by a certain date and have left it late to order, can I have my jewellery made up any quicker?
It usually takes up to 3 weeks from receiving prints from the customer to the customer then receiving their jewellery. However if someone contacts me with a request for jewellery in a hurry I will try my best to accommodate that customers needs.
